Ao contrário do que muitos possam pensar, não é raro uma mulher dar a luz em uma mesma gestação a dois filhos de pais diferentes, no que a ciência chama hoje de “superfecundação heteropaternal”. Ainda é muito notório e conhecido o caso da prostituta francesa Yvette Landru que deu à luz a trigêmeos, porém cada bebê de um pai diferente, sendo um negro, um branco e o outro chinês.
Outro caso conhecido ocorreu na Suécia quando o marido ao saber da traição de sua esposa divorciou-se dela mesmo já estando grávida dele. Porém para a surpresa de todos, ela deu à luz dois bebés de cores diferentes, sendo um branco e o outro negro. A mãe exigiu na justiça de Estocolmo que o seu ex-marido pagasse a ela uma pensão alimentícia pelas duas crianças, porém sendo ele branco contestou em pagar pelo bebê de cor negra alegando que não poderia ser seu filho.

Contrary to what many may think, a woman giving birth in the same pregnancy to two children from different fathers is not uncommon, in what science now calls "superfecundation heteropaternal". It is too notorious and known case of the French prostitute Yvette Landru who gave birth to triplets, but each baby has a different father, one black, one white and the other Chinese.
Another known case occurred in Sweden when the husband to learn of the betrayal of his wife divorced her even when already pregnant with his child. But to everyone's surprise, she gave birth to two different colors of babies, one white and the other black.
